What is the relationship between your church and your denomination?

Evangelical Free Churches are autonomous, self-governing churches that voluntarily united for purposes beyond the scope of one local church. We share a common doctrine and values. We have established several regional, national, and international efforts to serve our own churches or advance the kingdom of God.

There are no financial obligations of local churches to support district, national, or international causes. Every church independently calls its own pastor and owns its own property. There is simply voluntary interdependence when a local church decides it would be beneficial

We at the Evangelical Free Church of Vestal financially support the Trinity International University (our denominational school), two Evangelical Free Church Missionary families, and the Eastern District Association. We participate in camping programs of our region at Camp Orchard Hill. Our pastors are expected to be part of the denominational ministerial association. We often send delegates to district and national conferences.
